Hi, I’m Kristen

I created Buffalo Skin Club to be a welcoming environment for all people to gain knowledge about their skin, while relaxing and getting a break from the world around us. Our motto is, “It’s not just skincare, it’s self care,” and we truly hold ourselves to that standard. I make sure your treatments are results-driven without sacrificing your relaxing experience.

Our story – buffalo skin club

From the Founder-      The bridge between healthcare, skincare, and relaxation

This has – in a way – been my passion project and outlet for creativity. But it’s also become so much more. We have built a community of like-minded people who want to take care of their bodies and achieve the healthiest, most glowing skin possible.

After growing up with acne prone skin and feeling very alone while trying to navigate skincare throughout my teens, I knew I wanted to be in a position where I could help people like me. I went to numerous dermatologists and estheticians, but nobody really sat down with me to take a good look at my lifestyle, current skincare regimen, or educate me on the products that I should be using (or that I shouldn’t give up after using a new acne prescription for only a week without results- now that I’m an acne specialist I know it can take up to 3 months to start to see results due to the skin’s cycle, but still I feel like the derm should’ve told me that instead of just taking me off the medication).

With our results-driven treatments and acne bootcamp program, you can be sure to find all the support you are looking for. I am here for you. I will dive deep into all the factors of your skin and help you obtain the results you’re looking for.

I love being able to use my medical and esthetic backgrounds to educate people about their skin & the science behind skincare, perform treatments in the safest ways possible, and help my clients obtain the best results without sacrificing relaxation. After all, the power of touch is incredibly healing & has an immense calming impact on the stress response within our bodies. In my practice, I am building a bridge between healthcare, skincare, and relaxation, and I would love to have you along for the ride. Join the club and prioritize your self care! Book an appointment with us to see what we’re all about…

We’re a match if

This is my journey

2019

The year I started nursing school

In August 2019, I moved into the dorms at the University at Buffalo and began the four year journey of obtaining my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.

2020

The year I started esthetics school

During my second year at the University at Buffalo, I started thinking about where I would want to work once I graduate as a nurse. The only thing that brought me joy was dermatology. So, I spontaneously enrolled in esthetics school, in hopes it would give me an edge and help find a job in a dermatology office one day. Since my nursing classes were all online due to the pandemic, the transition to completing coursework for two schools at once was seamless. I went to esthetics classes every weekday from 8am until 12:30pm, and would run home to get online by 12:45pm for my microbiology class.

2021

The year I became a Licensed Esthetician

Through esthetics school, I fell in love with skin and became very passionate about esthetics. I graduated within 8 months and became licensed after passing two state board exams, a written exam and a practical exam.

While I was too busy with nursing school to start working as an esthetician, I started posting about skincare on social media, and even started making informational YouTube videos for other estheticians. To date, I have helped over 30 thousand estheticians pass their state board exams through these videos.

2023

The year I became an Acne Specialist

After attending a Face Reality Skincare event at the International Esthetics, Cosmetics, and Spa Conference in NYC, I completed a course through Face Reality, in which I became a Certified Acne Specialist. Treating acne is one of my favorite aspects of my career and I love talking about lifestyle choices and triggers that could be causing your acne.

2023

The year I became a Registered Nurse

spent the last two years of my nursing program completing clinical rotations in the hospital. These were long, 12 hour, unpaid days that seriously made me question why I even wanted to become a nurse in the first place. I was trained in med-surg, pediatrics, mother-baby (postpartum), labor and delivery, psychiatric, home care, emergency department, ambulatory surgery, and more acute care units like the neuro icu-step down and a ventilator unit.

I was beyond excited and proud of myself once I graduated. So many jobs were available to me, but I decided on accepting a position in Dr. Rockoff’s Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology office. Since it is an allergy office, I end up seeing many patients with eczema and atopic dermatitis every day, and while the doctors develop the treatment plans for these patients, I always think about how I would treat them from an esthetics stand point, and give my expert opinion when relevant.

2024

The year I launched Buffalo Skin Club

I’ve always had a very entrepreneurial mindset, so especially since finishing school and having much more time on my hands, I’ve envisioned opening my own skincare studio. In December 2023, I finally found the most perfect space to open my business in, signed a lease, and began decorating the room.

In January 2024, I officially opened my books to clients and began offering acne treatments, facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and even launched Buffalo Skin Club Memberships.

2024

The year I began nurse practitioner school

I’m the type of person where once I get something in my head, I just have to do it. So, on a random Thursday night in December 2023, I decided to apply to the adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner program at Daemen University. I was accepted to the program in early January, and my first day of classes came very soon after on January 22. This was all so overwhelming starting so many new things at once, but I knew it would all be worth it. As a nurse practitioner, I’ll be able to be my own medical director and offer more medical treatments to my clients.
